Privacy

What this site collects.

Two things: a log of page visits, and whatever you type into the contact form. No advertising pixel, no third-party analytics script, and no cookies on the public site at all.

The visit log

Every page request is recorded on our own server — not sent to Google Analytics or anyone else. Each entry holds the page you asked for, the time, the address you came from if you followed a link, your browser and operating system, and your IP address, along with the approximate city and country our host derives from it.

We'll be straight about why, because an IP address is personal information and “analytics” is a word that usually hides the answer. This is a consulting site. When a company we've pitched reads three case studies on a Tuesday afternoon, we want to know — that is a sales signal, and it is most of the reason this log exists. It is not used for advertising, it is not sold, it is not shared, and it is not combined with anything from anywhere else.

Entries are deleted automatically after 90 days by a job that runs every night. They are readable only by the people who run this studio, behind a password.

Nothing here follows you off this site, and nothing identifies you by name. If you'd rather not be logged at all, a VPN is the straightforward answer, and we'd think no worse of it.

The contact form

What you type — your name, email, optionally a company and phone, and your message — is emailed to hello@prairiefold.com, and a copy is sent back to you. The message itself isn't stored in a database; it lives in an ordinary inbox for as long as the conversation is useful.

Delivery goes through Resend, an email provider, which necessarily handles the message in order to send it. The visit log records that an enquiry was submitted, so we can tell which visit turned into a conversation — but it records no part of what you wrote.

Cookies

The public site sets none. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to — the visit log needs no cookie, which is part of why it's built that way. The only cookie this site can set is the sign-in session for the private admin page, which the public can't reach.

Hosting

The site runs on Vercel, which keeps its own standard server logs for operational and security reasons. That's the ordinary consequence of a web server existing and is separate from the log described above.

Client work

The case studies name real clients, published with their agreement. No client's data appears anywhere on this site.

Asking for it back, or gone

Email hello@prairiefold.com and we'll tell you what the log holds for you, or delete it, and confirm either way. There's no form for this — it's a small team and one inbox.
